You don't have to earn rest.
You don't have to be falling apart to need it, either. Sometimes you just need a place that asks nothing of you, where the only sound is a horse pulling hay from a net.
The Reset is a private session with our two off-the-track thoroughbreds, Huey and Rou, here at the farm. We stay on the ground the whole time, grooming, breathing slowly, and letting the barn and horses do what they have always done for me.

How Each Session Works
How Each Session Works
Arrive & Settle (5–10 minutes): Walk in, breathe in, and meet the boys. We'll go over safety, and we'll talk a little about what brought you here, or not. There's no wrong answer.
Groom & Breathe (20–25 minutes): Long brush strokes and slow breaths, with a horse who softens right alongside you.
Close Quietly (about 15 minutes): Talk through whatever you've been carrying if you'd like. Or rest your hands on him in silence, feeling his breath and heartbeat, until yours slows to meet it.

Wear closed-toe boots or sneakers and clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty. Horse hair is part of the experience. Sessions are for ages 16+. Plan to arrive a few minutes early so nothing feels rushed, and don't forget your signed waiver. Directions and parking details arrive with your booking confirmation.

We spend our time in and around the barn, so if the weather turns unkind for you or the boys, we'll find another day together.
Need to reschedule? Just give me 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
A Gentle Note
Bits of Calm is time with horses, not therapy. I'm a lifelong horsewoman, not a counselor. If you're carrying something heavy, the barn can be a soft place to land, but it's never a replacement for professional support.
