Dahlias, right up until the frost takes them.
October dahlias are the biggest and best of the year. The plants have had all season to build up, and the cool nights hold their color better than August heat ever does. These bouquets lean dahlia-heavy on purpose, with whatever fall texture is still standing in the field.
October 15th is also our last fresh flower Friday of 2027, so this is the season’s send-off.
Book before December 31st and it’s 20% off.

Pickup & Delivery
Pickup is Fridays, 4–6pm, at the farm — Bits & Blooms Flower Farm, located at 47 Shea Ave, Franklinville, NJ.
Prefer delivery? You can add this on to your subscription before checking out.
Deliveries typically run Friday mornings, 10am–12pm, within 15 miles of the farm, for $8 per delivery. Flowers are left at your door in water, so you don’t need to be home. Tell us at checkout if there’s a spot you’d like us to use.

Subscriptions are non-refundable. Life happens, though, so if you can’t make a pickup, let me know ahead of time and we’ll work something out.
What I can’t do is hold flowers past the weekend, since they’re cut fresh for you.

Flower Subscription Terms
Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cannot pick up during a certain week, you may send someone in your place. Weather may affect bloom timing; start and end dates may shift slightly based on conditions.

Flower Subscription FAQs
What if I can't make a pickup?
You can send anyone you choose — friends, husbands, neighbors, family — no problem. They just give your name and show confirmation that it's been approved by you to pickup for you.
Are the bouquets chemical free?
Yes. All our flowers are grown naturally using organic and sustainable growing methods, and safely for homes with children and pets.
Are all the flowers grown on your farm?
Most of the flowers in our bouquets are grown right here on our flower farm in Franklinville. However, to ensure abundance and premium quality, we may include flowers grown by trusted local flower farmers.
Will the pickup dates be the same every week?
Typically, yes. Weather permitting, our harvest days are Wednesdays and Thursdays.
We then process and condition our flowers and let them soak in hydrating solution overnight to make sure you get the most vase life when you pickup, then let the flowers rest. After that, we arrange and prep your blooms for pickup.
Friday mornings and afternoons are our typical days for flower subscription pickups as well as restocking our flower stand. Please check your emails and our private Facebook group for all real-time flower communications.
What if my birthday doesn't fall within my subscription dates?
That's okay! When you purchase a flower subscription from Bits & Blooms, we will make sure you get to enjoy fresh flowers on your special day.
If you'd like to transfer your birthday bouquet to a friend or a loved one's birthday, that is totally fine! Just let us know when you need it by so we can plan ahead.
